Senior Project Manager
Since 2001, Dr. Charles Gardner has held the position of Senior Project Manager at ChemImage Corporation. In this position, he has led the development of several laboratory and field-transportable spectroscopic instruments for chemical and biological agent detection and for the examination of forensic evidence. Currently, he is the Principal Investigator for a Phase II SBIR project to develop robot-based detection and identification systems for hazardous and explosive materials. He is also responsible for project management support on all ChemImage internally and externally funded projects.
Dr. Gardner has extensive experience in the field of Analysis Instrumentation for environmental, industrial hygiene and chemical process measurements. Prior to joining ChemImage, he worked for ABB-Extrel, Bacharach Inc. and Mine Safety Appliances Company in a variety of product development, marketing and customer support positions.
He received his BS in chemistry and his Ph.D. in analytical chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh.
