Executive Vice President
Dr. Thomas C. Voigt joined ChemImage Corporation in 2003 as Executive Vice President. Dr. Voigt’s focus is the establishment of a worldwide business for four customer groups: Bio-Medical Solutions, Pharmaceutical Industry, Forensics and Biothreat & Chemical Detection. Dr. Voigt is especially responsible for the transition from an R&D oriented “start-up” to a successful commercial-oriented, worldwide operating company. Additional Dr. Voigt is focusing on an extensive patent portfolio. The goal is to establish an IP-driven business model to be able to negotiate major business cooperation’s and partnerships.
Dr. Voigt’s most recent positions within Siemens AG prior to joining ChemImage were:
- President of Siemens Westinghouse Power Corporation, Stationary Fuel Cells (SFC) Division. Dr. Voigt’s focus was the establishment of a worldwide SFC business.
- Vice President / Head of Business Excellence of Siemens Power Transmission & Distribution (PT&D), where he reported directly to the CEO of Siemens PT&D. There he was responsible for the development and implementation of a corporate business improvement project, where he managed to break even from 3-digit negative results within two years.
- Dr. Voigt held the positions of Project Manager, Director of Marketing and Senior Management Consultant in the Siemens Medical Engineering Group.
Dr. Voigt received his Master’s Degree in physics from the University of Stuttgart in Germany. He later earned his Ph.D. in physics from the same university while researching semiconductor materials for optoelectronic devices.
