Reports to: Customer Care Manager
This job description represents a description of the major job responsibilities that anyone assigned to this job would be held accountable to perform.
Ensure complete customer satisfaction for system installation, maintenance and service by providing superior service to new and existing customers.
- Manage customer service records and maintain product component warranty information
- Assist in the development of continuous improvement process
Specific areas of responsibility will include, responsible for imaging instrument inspection, preventative maintenance and repair/replacement processing; instrument & set reassembly; instrument set transport and retrieval; and spare part inventory maintenance.
Under the direction of the Director of Engineering with input from other Directors and authorized colleagues (i.e. specific program managers), suggest design concepts, feasibility studies, assembly and evaluation test of ChemImage products.
- Manage multiple tasks consistent with immediate priorities, department and ChemImage objectives and strategy.
- Contribute to the collation of information about competitors.
- Be prepared to spend time in field to visit customers. Occasionally fill in for other personnel. Occasionally perform duties of an advanced or lower level to meet business needs.
- Ability to work well with others and possess excellent organizational, communication, customer service skills, and be adaptable to flexible work hours
- Understanding methods for diagnosing misalignment errors
- Basic electrical circuit troubleshooting skills
- Excellent PC hardware software knowledge
- Minimum 4 years previous customer service experience in the field preferred
- Ability to use positive interpersonal skills to handle customer problems
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
Education:
- Associates in Mechanical/ Electrical engineering or Physics
Skills/Attributes:
- Desire to pay attention to detail and ensure completeness of service work
- Strong business communication skills. Clear and very high quality, professional verbal and written skills are essential. Ability to absorb, process and effectively communicate detailed/complex and sensitive information.
- Strong troubleshooting and pro-active problem resolving skills.
- Must be willing and able to travel on short notice both domestically and abroad
