Arjun Bangalore, Ph.D - Senior Scientist
Dr. Arjun Bangalore joined ChemImage in September of 1998. His primary role is working in the Commercial Competence Center division, performing research and development. His responsibilities include R&D, evaluation and troubleshooting of components, development of application solutions including customized software and prototyping analysis software.
Dr. Bangalore received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Ohio University and he holds a M.A. in Chemistry from Central College, Bangalore. |

Bob Schweitzer, Ph. D. - Lead Algorithm Scientist
Dr. Bob Schweitzer joined ChemImage in July of 1999. His primary role is to lead the development of new algorithms for unique customer needs and to provide support to product development.
Dr. Schweitzer received his Ph. D. in Analytical Chemistry from the Ohio University. |

Colleen V. Dempster, Esq. - Attorney
Colleen V. Dempster joined ChemImage in January 2008. Her primary role is includes acting as a liason between ChemImage and outside patent counsel, preparing and reviewing legal agreements and contracts for research and partnering opportunities, providing support to the Patent Committee and the Senior Management Team regarding Intellectual Property deadlines and other patent matters, and working with Patent Counsel to maintain and grow the Patent Portfolio.
Colleen received her J.D. from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and she holds a B.A. in English from Bucknell University. Colleen is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania. |

Kristin A. Biedinger, Esq. - Patent Attorney
Kristin Biedinger joined ChemImage in May of 2008. Her primary responsibilities include drafting and prosecuting patent applications before the USPTO, working with ChemImage scientists to prepare invention disclosures and other supporting documents, providing support to the Patent Committee and Senior Management Team on Intellectual Property issues including the growth and maintenance of the ChemImage Patent portfolio.
Kristin received her J.D. from the Duquesne University School of Law and she holds a B.S. in Biological Sciences from the University of Pittsburgh. Kristin is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. |

Dr. Michael Fuhrman - Senior Scientist / Algorithm Development
Dr. Michael Fuhrman joined ChemImage in February of 2008. His primary role is image and signal processing, microscopy, optics and instrument development, and pattern recognition. A large part of his work has been in the areas of quantitative image analysis and instrument development. He has developed methods to automate the analysis and classification of materials based on their chemistry and morphology.
Dr. Fuhrman received his Ph.D. in Physics at the Robotics Institute of Carnegie Mellon University he also holds a B.E. in Electrical Engineering from The Cooper Union. |

Matthew Nelson, Ph.D. - Principal Scientist, R&D
Dr. Matthew Nelson joined ChemImage in January of 1999. His responsibilities include Leading spectroscopy and imaging contract research and R&D study efforts, managing the R&D group applications scientist personnel & budget, supporting the expansion of ChemImage’s contract research business area, securing research funding from federal and state granting agencies via proposal writing and other collaborative efforts, developing new chemical imaging and spectroscopy technologies that support chemical, material science, and clinical markets and providing guidance for hardware and software improvements to ChemImage products .
Dr. Nelson received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from the University of South Carolina; he also holds a B.S. Magna Cum Laude, degree in Chemistry from Frostburg State University. |
