Science and industry move at a dizzying pace—often times in directions that are unexpected or surprising based on the need of the moment. For the pharmaceutical industry in particular, a Raman Chemical Imaging platform that can adapt to constantly changing materials characterization needs is required for the development and analysis of a virtually unlimited number of compounds having widely varying molecular compositions. FALCON II satisfies this need.

The Technology Behind Falcon II’s Power
The secret to the versatile power of Falcon II imaging lies in W.H.I.P. technology; ChemImage’s proprietary imaging technology that provides a scalable platform for Chemical Imaging that grows as your laboratory demands change. Ultimately, with W.H.I.P. technology in place, the Falcon II can be configured for five distinct imaging modalities—all in one machine. The combined chemical and spatial information provided by each of these modalities helps to reveal subtle features of materials often unseen with traditional imaging techniques. What’s more, this unique technology lets users advance beyond static imaging to acquire ACTUAL Raman movies—the first of their kind! Now scientists can monitor dynamic processes, analyze materials in motion and document reactions in real time, witnessing changes in the material composition as they happen.
The versatility of W.H.I.P. technology comes from ChemImage’s 75+ combined years of spectroscopy experience to perform the analysis and the interpretation of selected applications, providing the user with final analytical results.
