Q: What file types are supported by your software?
A: Hyperspectral images are saved as multidimensional .TIFF files, but CI Xpert also supports the input of image files from Perkin Elmer (.fsm), ENVI (.img), and user-defined binary images (.def). Spectral file types that are supported include ASCII (.plt), GRAMS (.spc), Omnic (.spa), and ems (.ems, .msa).
Q: Does your software support 21 CFR Part 11 compliance?
A: There are numerous features present in CI Xpert that can help your organization comply with 21 CFR 11.
Q: Can I automate my routine processing steps?
A: CI XpertTM allows automation of both acquisition and analysis. For acquisition, the ability to store acquisition setups allows easy configuration of experimental parameters. Complex analysis routines can be recorded and automated using macros, which are easy to create and apply. Sets of images can be processed via batch-mode processing capabilities. In addition, frequently used functions (including macros) can be placed on the customizable toolbar for easy access.
Q: What can I do if the set of tools present in CI Xpert does not support the set of processing steps that I need to perform?
A: ChemImage has developed a User Function interface in CI Xpert that allows customized functions to be dropped into the executable folder in a Plug-And-Play fashion. ChemImage can work with you to develop the exact functions needed for your application and can deliver them through this User Function interface.
Q: How can I create presentations using your software?

CI Present™ allows you to seamlessly create reports and presentations of your chemical imaging data.
Q: How can I organize the spectra, images and functions that I collect for a particular project?
A: ChemImage supplies an add-in package – ChemDB™ – that can automatically add data collected with CI Xpert to a database that you customize for your project. This database can then be searched by the textual fields that you have set up and via spectral library searching capabilities.
